What is guided participation?

Guided participation refers to a learning approach in which individuals engage in activities with the support and guidance of more knowledgeable others, such as peers, mentors, or teachers. This method is grounded in the social learning theory, which emphasizes that learning occurs within a social context and is greatly enhanced through interactive experiences.
